Thursday Thinking Out Loud (TOL) 9-8-2016

Today I am going to be doing my first Thinking Out Loud linkup with Amanda from Running With Spoons! I’ve been reading her blog for a while and decided that today I had some stuff I wanted to share with you so I’m going to jump right in and share some of the things I’ve been thinking about and loving lately…

1. Aly Raisman

The best news ever was announced yesterday!!! Aly Raisman isn’t planning on retiring yet and after a year off she’s going to resume training for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo! I love Aly so much and was feeling a bit bummed because it seemed like she was probably going to retire but she is so phenomenal and fun to watch. I watched the all around event live and I almost cry even just seeing this photo because it was a perfect moment.

So I’m excited that she’s going to try and come back for her THIRD Olympics!

2. Michael Buble

New album coming out October 21st! I’m loving the new singles that have been released and I’ve been listening to them on repeat on Spotify. My sister and I have a whole playlist dedicated to all of his albums and it’s one of my favorite go-to playlists. I’ve been wanting to see him in concert since high school so hopefully when he goes on tour for this album I’ll get to go see him <3

3. Ruzzle

I like finding new games to play from time to time whenever I’m trying to pass time and I’ve actually come back to this one. Brady and I used to compete with each other while we were in undergrad. We’d sit in the cafe or somewhere and play game after game. It’s kind of like a fast-pace-boggle-esqe kind of game.

4. Grey’s Anatomy/Survivor

Fall shows are starting up soon and I’m getting excited. My sister got me hooked on Grey’s over Christmas break last year and they just released the first preview for season 13 and I’m sitting on the edge of my seat to see how things are going to play out. Survivor has been a staple over the last few seasons and I also really love the Amazing Race. I grew up watching those shows but stopped watching at some point in high school. I came back to watching a few seasons ago and it’s back to being a staple. If I was ever to do a reality show, I’d do the Amazing Race but Brady said he’d rather do Survivor… there are too many mind games that go on in Survivor and I would be blindsided for sure and I have no idea how good I’d be at it.

5. Autumn Camping

I’m kind of consumed with planning for our fall outdoors trips in my free time because I like going into things with a plan so that I can be in the moment when I’m there instead of stressing about what’s going to happen next. I like to plan so I can relax if that makes sense. I’m trying to figure out our fall colors biking trip but we can’t plan too far ahead because we want to go the weekend with “peak colors” and we won’t know that until it’s basically about to happen. I’m really excited for this though because I haven’t gone since I was a senior in high school. Otherwise we’re also planning a regular camping trip with some friends and a potential backpacking trip.

Let me know what you’re thinking about this lovely end of summer Thursday!

Do you like hiking/camping/backpacking? Where’s your favorite place to go?

What fall shows are you looking forward to?

What kinds of shows do you like? (Sci-fi/Reality/Drama/Comedy/etc)

Any silly/fun phone game recommendations?

I love seeing the Fall colors here on your blog!! Fall is my favorite, and it’s not because of the pumpkin spice latte (which I actually don’t like at all!). Our family tries to cram in as much camping as we can in those beautiful months. We are looking forward to a trip to Hocking Hills in Ohio.
I think there is something comforting about wearing pants and long sleeves again too!! 🙂
We are also huge Survivor and Amazing Race fans at our house!

I just looked up pics and it looks like you guys are going to have a beautiful vacation! Can’t wait to see photos. I’m hoping for better casts this season of TAR and Survivor because last season wasn’t my favorite.
