Henry has been obsessed with blueberries lately! S Henry has been obsessed with blueberries lately! So Auntie Lo (@latalieri57) came blueberry picking with us yesterday and took this picture of Henry and I. You can see little bits of blueberry on his face. 😆 This is one of the very few photos of the two of us... and one of even fewer photos taken with an actual camera. I'm usually the one behind the camera and I'm sad that there aren't more photos of us as he's been growing up. My sweet boy turns 2 in just a few weeks and I'm over here wondering where has the time gone. 😢
My first Australia Day in 19 years! We went to the My first Australia Day in 19 years! We went to the Australia Zoo and got to cuddle with the cutest kangaroos and koalas (this is Lilly). We were also lucky to see the Irwin family put on the big show at the Crocoseum! Such a fun day! (See stories for more pics)
This little face lights my day. ❤ But today I've This little face lights my day. ❤ But today I've been reflecting a little and allowing myself to feel some of the grief I don't often allow to surface. It's been 8 years without my mom and it feels like a lifetime has passed since she left. Becoming a mother has allowed me to start to understand the love and sacrifice that my mom put into raising me. I think I was more difficult sometimes because I thought that she wouldn't understand. But she did. I know now how much she did and it hurts that I lost the opportunity to tell her so. I wish I'd had the chance to share motherhood with her. I wish she'd had the chance to meet my son. I wish that death didn't have to be so painful... I long for a future with her in heaven when we can all be together again. With mom, Nathan, and all the rest of our family. Nothing wrong with bringing in some extra warmth a Nothing wrong with bringing in some extra warmth and joy now that the days are cold and short. Braved the Friday chill ❄ with the toddler to fi Braved the Friday chill ❄ with the toddler to finally get my Australian passport updated. 🇦🇺 I haven't had a new one since I was 8 years old! We also met up with Steven and enjoyed this pretty spot in DC.🍁🍂
With each passing day, I'm watching my little Henr With each passing day, I'm watching my little Henry look less like a baby and more like a little boy. Breaking this mama's heart but it's hard to be sad for long when every day is full of baby smiles and the pure joy that only a child can know.
